At FibreLab textile waste is transformed into valuable recycled fibre through an innovative, custom-built mechanical shredding process. This process caters to a variety of waste streams, including garment manufacturing off-cuts and damaged linens from the hospitality sector. FibreLab’s commitment to a hyper-local, circular approach keeps waste collection, sorting, and remanufacturing entirely within the UK, ensuring both environmental sustainability and innovative solutions for textile recycling.

In partnership with FibreLab, The Materialist aims to make recycled materials more accessible to local designers and creatives, fostering greater engagement with the circular economy. FibreLab’s recycled fibres are versatile, serving as fillings for cushions, garments, furniture, and material development.

Visitors at The Materialist's London showroom can also explore FibreLab’s innovative PaperTex - a handmade paper crafted from 100% recycled textile fibres - available as samples.
